New Lifts for Season 2019/20 - Portes du Soleil, France
We have been skiing the Portes du Soleil for the last 10 years. The two lifts that really bugged us have now been replaced finally. This improves dramatically the time taken to do the various circuits around the PDS.
Lindarets Area
If like us you are tired of the old and very slow Lechere lift and also the Mossettes chairlift being busy or closed due to windy weather, then there is great news this winter for the Portes du Soleil.
A new express Lechere chairlift will take you from the Lindarets bowl to approx 600m beyond the previous Léchère top station.
After Lechere there will be another new ski lift, called Cases (6 person). This will take you up towards Mossettes and allow onwards travel to Champery and Les Crosets or return to Lindarets.
Super Chatel
The news gets better for slow lift haters! The Morclan lift is also being replaced in time for winter 2019 – reducing significantly the time taken to ascend to the Morclan ski area in Super Chatel and to return to La Chapelle d’Abondance.
This is great news for the Portes du Soleil – finally improving our 2 most hated lifts!!!
